Millwright II Maintenance (CAD $40.00/hr., Monday -Friday day shift, some Saturdays)

Who we are looking for:
Sasco, a division of Atkore, is currently searching for a day shift Maintenance Millwright to fill an existing vacancy based out of North York, ON. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will have 3+ years relevant maintenance and manufacturing experience. Experience in Lean manufacturing is a plus.
The Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Able to repair and maintain all equipment, and perform some electrical work in the Plant, and assist tool and die mechanic.
- Maintenance of plant equipment, inspection, damage assessment of the root cause, and determine proper repairs and testing equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery.
- Assist and repair pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems, break press, shears, roll forming machines, punch presses, welding machines.
- Assist in training other employees and Maintenance Mechanic trainees.
- Adhere to all Life Savings Rules, including Lock out tag/out (LOTO), Machine guarding, / Bypassing safety controls, powered industrials Truck (PIT) safety protocols; OHSA, Safety Policies.
- Adhere and follow to all other Atkore policies, such as harassment, Drug and alcohol free workplace, Respect and Harassment, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Certification is required.
- Three (3) years of maintenance Millwright experience in a manufacturing plant is required.
- Three (3) years of manufacturing and fabrication experience in roll forming is a plus.
- Strong mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, in a team environment.
- Ability to work both as a member of a team, a team leader or as an individual contributor.
- Positive approach, self-motivated, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Eager and interest to learn continuously in manufacturing environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to stand on their feet for the duration of the workday.
