Our client, a well-established electrical product manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Millwright to join their maintenance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on, technically skilled individual with strong experience working on injection moulding machinery and a passion for keeping high-volume production environments running smoothly.
As a Millwright, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of injection moulding equipment and related production machinery. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you will play a key role in minimising downtime, optimising machine performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on injection moulding machines and associated auxiliary equipment.
Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and mechanical/electrical diagnostics.
Identify equipment faults and implement effective corrective actions to minimise downtime.
Assist with machine installations, setups, and adjustments to meet production requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects within the manufacturing facility.
Trade-tested Millwright qualification or equivalent.
Proven experience working with injection moulding equipment (essential).
Strong mechanical and basic electrical fault-finding abilities.
Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems commonly used in moulding processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willingness to work shifts or overtime when required.
R36 000 CTC to R46 000 CTC per month based on experience and qualifications
