Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright/Vibration Specialist is critical in maintaining the reliability of the refinery’s production capabilities while maintaining and enhancing their skills and knowledge-sharing with others. This safety conscious individual will install, service, and repair a variety of plant equipment and participate and assist in establishing an environment which reflects craft flexibility and teamwork.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working as vibration technician preferred

  • Journeyman Millwright certification required

  • Must have minimum ISO Category 2 Vibration certification

 

Responsibilities:

  • Take and analyze vibration readings throughout refinery

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment

  • Implement preventative and predictive programs/assignments for mechanical systems

  • Participate in failure analysis discussions

  • Maintain equipment histories as required

  • Work effectively in a flexible team environment and communicate clearly with all others

 

Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum Way. This location is not accessible via public transportation.

  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday

  • This position is safety sensitive

  • This is a unionized position within Unifor 501A
