JOB OVERVIEW: 

As a Wire 3 New Market Project Manager, you will be in charge of coordination between our New Market Development, Engineering, and the local municipalities providing us with permitted work. You’ll be on the front lines pushing the initiation of construction of these new markets and making sure the planned builds are staying on time. The New Market Project Manager will also be in charge of documenting and understanding the next steps in propelling a market to production and implementing those steps.  

 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Take ownership of success of regional and sub-regional New Market Development FTTH deployments
  • Manage defined NMD KPI metrics – Designed, permitted and located footage and pass counts
  • Maintain defined backlogs of buildable construction segments
  • Coordinate with New Market Development team to select next builds
  • Work with locates coordinator to ensure all assigned segments are beginning in a timely manor
  • Coordinate with contractors and construction on build completion
  • Manage all tracking and reporting of Wire 3 projects using Wire 3 systems.
  • Coordinate with Government affairs with meetings with local municipalities.  
  • Run department reporting and forecasting with other Wire 3 Departments
  • Maintain budgets and handle department audits on all manageable material
  • Understand build plan forecast and assist in future build planning with other Wire 3 departments
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to maintain service delivery pace
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • Work with Production/OSP to ensure New Market Builds transition to full production. 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES: 

  • Have competent knowledge of internal programs for creating better reporting and management visibility - Notion, Vetro, ArcGIS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Project Management experience in OSP and ISP fields.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Work performed in both office and field environments
  • Must be able to travel locally
