OFCI Project Manager

Linesight is looking for an OFCI Project Manager to join us Gävle, Sweden. We’re continuing to grow the team to support one of the most ambitious construction projects in Europe right now. A leading global tech company has partnered with us to support the delivery of a of a multi €billion hyperscale data centre campus over two years.​

Wondering why you should consider working on a hyperscale data centre project? Data centres impact almost everything in the world around us: from healthcare to education, transport to security. There's very little that isn't reliant on data centres. And with more businesses and services adopting AI, the need for hyperscale data centres is increasing. Helping to successfully deliver this project will put you in a pivotal role of quite literally making the world around you function.​

In this role you will: 

• Assist in completing the handover plan, ensuring documentation is completed and expectations are met on time and with quality 
• Attend key meetings to monitor progress, actively collaborate on solving problems and communicate impacts to partners 
• Be a visible leader onsite, assessing progress and ensuring safe work practices 
• Coordinate with the client team, consultant team and the contractor on all snagging activities, including the schedule and partner engagement 
• Identify issues proactively and work with the team to resolve effectively 
• Implement and monitor key project processes, partnering with the client to make improvements and revisions 
• Implement project procedures and use reasonable endeavours to ensure that this procedure is always observed   
• Partner with the vendors to identify project risks and proactively manage these risks throughout the project 
• Review proposed variations and delays in the works 
• Review technical submissions from external partners to ensure they are compliant with the client’s specifications 

We would love to hear from you if you: 

• Have a project management professional certification, or are seeking one.  We can help 
• Have experience project managing on a data centre project 
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a related construction or safety discipline 
• Love a dynamic environment with the opportunity to manage your own priorities and deadlines

Gävle is a vibrant coastal city with many cultural amenities, just one hour outside of Stockholm. There is something for everyone, whatever the season, with hiking in the summer, to skiing in the winter. There are numerous restaurants, bars and parks as well as ice hockey being a favoured pastime for participants and spectators alike.  If you’re moving with a family, Gävle has excellent schools and the childcare system in Sweden is accessible and affordable. It’s also easy to travel to the bigger cities of Uppsala and Stockholm which are relatively close by. If you’re not a Swedish resident, you might be eligible for the expat preferential tax scheme – T&Cs dependent.

We know that starting a new role, particularly in a new country, can be daunting but our teams in Sweden are close and will help you to settle in, from showing you how to navigate local and regional systems and administration as well as accommodation and inviting you to join various social activities.
