GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Operations Project Manager at United Digestive supports the Senior Manager of Program Management in effective, organization-wide project execution with a strong emphasis on communication, operational excellence, and strategic alignment. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives that are central to the growth and innovation of the organization. The Operations Project Manager plays a critical role in fostering a culture of innovation by owning projects that drive United Digestive forward.

Senior Manager, Program Management

RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage project work plans, including the creation of necessary process documents and training materials, and adjust as needed to meet changing requirements.
  • Lead complex, long-term projects such as new or enhanced service initiatives, physician onboarding, and the launch of growth initiatives.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) 
  • Foster a culture of innovation and spearhead continuous improvement efforts to optimize performance and ensure sustained impact.
  • Lead interdepartmental teams to complete assigned projects with accuracy and efficiency, meeting specifications and budget constraints.
  • Outline project tasks and delegate responsibilities accordingly.
  • Conduct cost analysis and prepare and implement budgets based on estimates.
  • Perform risk assessments, report identified risks to management, and provide recommendations for risk mitigation, including project termination if necessary.
  • Ensure high-quality patient care and customer service through the design and implementation of effective processes and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with policies and procedures, including government, insurance, and third-party payer regulations.
  • Address questions, concerns, and complaints throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Seek opportunities for new projects and collaborate with department leaders to initiate them.
  • Assist with processes for potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities.
  • Manage various vendors effectively.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Perform any other duties and special tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, which may include business management or industrial engineering, required; three to five years of project management, staff management, and adhering to department budgets; healthcare-related field experience preferred; must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Lean Six Sigma and PMP or comparable project management certification is a plus.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Travel as business needs dictate.
