OPITO Rigger (L2, L3, L4)

Location: French Guiana

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct rigging activities in compliance with safety regulations and OPITO standards.
• Set up and operate lifting equipment and tools efficiently to ensure safe rigging operations.
• Perform pre-lift checks and inspections of rigging gear prior to each lift.
• Collaborate with various trades and personnel to plan and execute lifting tasks safely.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior riggers and apprentices.
• Maintain clear and open communication with the Operations team regarding any issues pertaining to rigging.
• Document and report all rigging activities, incidents, and near misses accurately.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area post-rigging activities.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the improvement of safety practices.

Essential Qualifications:

• Current OPITO Rigger certification (Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4).
• Strong understanding of rigging and lifting principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within the Oil & Gas sector.

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a rigger role, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience working in offshore environments is a significant advantage.
• Proven track record of successful rigging for complex lifting operations.
