ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our client is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to join their dynamic, innovative, team in the Atlanta, GA area. The Project Manager will work closely with manufacturing, sales, marketing, and executive teams, and will be responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of new product launches across various product categories. It is a fast-paced and collaborative environment where coaching, developing, and growing together is a true priority. This is a hybrid/remote role with hours typically between 8am-5pm.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Analyze new product concepts and manage decision-making process required for new products to launch
- Own project coordination, planning, and research required for the introduction of new products, certifications, and business opportunities
- Create and clearly communicate project structure for stakeholders including, timelines, project plans, tasks, team responsibilities, and status reporting
- Document and communicate new product specifications to applicable internal teams
- Submit new and existing products to applicable certifiers for review and approval
- Manage product labeling development and change process (product lifecycle management)
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to coordinate full effort to launch
- Work with Supply Chain on ingredient sourcing during Research & Development and changes during product lifecycle after commercialization
- Drive internal and external cross functional tasks to completion against rigorous deadlines
- Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and external regulatory bodies during the launch process
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- Bachelors or Masters degree
- 5+ years of experience as a project manager or product development manager in the pharmaceutical/OTC industry
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus
- Strong computer skills and comprehension are required
- Experience in Smartsheet or Microsoft Suite programs, including Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally with all levels of employees and management to handle complex projects, prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and time constraints
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, follow-up, and acute attention to detail; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Strong self-confidence to take initiative to handle sensitive matters and exercise independent solid judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Thrives under pressure and hates being bored
