Irrigation Maintenance/Install Supervisor
Job Description:
An Irrigation Maintenance/Install Supervisor must be experienced in all aspects of irrigation systems including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role requires knowledge of water management, controller programming, customer service, production scheduling, team building, culture development, organizational and time management skills, and accountability. The Irrigation Supervisor must be willing to work alongside crews in the field. They are responsible for upholding company and departmental policies, and enforcing all company-mandated safety protocols. This individual should be forward-thinking and always looking for opportunities to improve the team and themselves both personally and professionally.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day operations of irrigation crews.
- Scheduling and logistics for irrigation service and install projects.
- Managing work orders and service tickets.
- Overseeing employee time tracking and job performance.
- Enforcing all company safety standards and procedures.
- Supervising all aspects of irrigation installation and maintenance.
- Ensuring all work meets the company’s high standards and customer expectations.
- Keeping projects on schedule and within budgeted timeframes.
- Communicating with account managers regarding property-specific needs.
- Daily communication with the Irrigation Department Manager.
- Creating employee performance evaluations.
- Fostering a positive culture within the department.
- Overseeing irrigation equipment use, maintenance, and service.
- Promoting a positive and productive team environment.
- Assisting in training, coaching, and team development initiatives.
The Irrigation Maintenance/Install Supervisor reports directly to the Irrigation Department Manager.
Irrigation Maintenance/Install Supervisor Job Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in irrigation installation, maintenance, or related production field.
- Supervisory or management experience preferred but not required.
- Proficient with computers; willing to learn company-specific software.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Valid driver's license and insurable under the company’s policy.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is helpful but not required.
