Job Summary

We are looking for an individual to join our client’s team as Project Manager. Working under the Office of Ambulatory Care and Population Health, the Project Manager will support key workstreams within complex direct service programs, including the Response and Relief Center facilities. These centers provide direct services, resource navigation, and temporary shelter for single adults, adult families, and families with children. Multiple positions are available, with assignments based on experience.

 

 Job Description

  • Support all aspects of project lifecycles for assigned workstreams, including planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain templates and tools to track project progress.
  • Facilitate the collection of project information and metrics and manage the dissemination of updates on project status.
  • Monitor progress and deliverables; proactively escalate issues or risks as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for departments, City agencies, and contracted vendors.
  • Assist in planning and conducting trainings, including creating the required training materials.
  • Provide on-site support for project implementation and oversight.
  • Offer policy and operational guidance and help develop strategies to improve service delivery within assigned workstreams.
  • Review and approve invoices and provide recommendations for budget planning.

 

Skills Required

  • Experience working with the Department of Education, Administration for Children’s Services, or other educational programs.
  • Experience collaborating with educators, administrators, or case management staff.
  • Experience working with parents and/or children.
  • Experience in community engagement or with community service providers/non-profits.
  • Reliable and able to work independently, while also leading change as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals, groups, and organizations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor technical material for diverse audiences (e.g., administrative and technical leaders, front-line staff).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability in all work products.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to high-quality work.
  • Fluency in languages other than English, particularly Spanish, is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing multiple external contractors or vendors strongly preferred.
  • NYC area residency preferred.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

 

Additional Requirements

  • Shift Time: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

 

 Pay Rate

  • $76.00 per hour
