Construction Project Manager
Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $100k-$130k
A growing commercial construction company with a strong pipeline of projects is seeking a Project Manager to join its team. This opening is due to recent growth, making it a high-priority hire. This role is scoped as a Project Manager I, but the team is open to more experienced PM2 or PM3 candidates.
Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:
Lead project start-up and execution, including estimating, contractor buyout, subcontracting, and procurement to support efficient project mobilization.
Manage day-to-day project operations, including RFIs, meetings, scheduling, quantity tracking, and labor productivity.
Oversee cost and budget management, including change orders, invoicing, and financial reconciliation to ensure fiscal accountability.
Maintain client satisfaction by delivering high-quality outcomes, facilitating team collaboration, and managing conflict resolution when necessary.
Construction Project Manager Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent professional experience (3–6 years in commercial construction).
Proficiency in construction software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, and Viewpoint.
Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA regulations, and proven ability to independently manage multiple commercial projects; healthcare construction experience is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication, scheduling, and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in subcontract management and financial forecasting.
