Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced 2D Seismic Survey Project Manager to oversee the mobilization, rigging, and operation of an Ultra High Resolution 2D Streamer and Sparker source system on a vessel-based project. The role will initially be shore-based in the UK, focusing on desktop project management, including advising on vessel and equipment suitability. The final stages will involve on-site rigging and operational oversight aboard the vessel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage the mobilization and rigging of 2D UHR seismic equipment.
  • Provide expert advice on vessel and equipment suitability during the planning phase.
  • Oversee survey execution and ensure operational efficiency and safety offshore.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain hands-on involvement in the operation of seismic equipment during the offshore phase.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Essential: Previous experience with 2D Ultra High Resolution (UHR) seismic surveys.
  • Proven track record in project management for similar seismic or geophysical projects, both on- and offshore.
  • Hands-on experience operating seismic equipment, including streamers and sparker sources.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaboratively in a vessel-based environment.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in offshore operations.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in advising on vessel and equipment suitability for seismic surveys.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic project requirements and timelines.
Location and Schedule:
  • Shore-based Phase: Immediate start, based in the UK with remote working possible, focusing on desktop project management.
  • Offshore Phase: Approximately September/October 2025 for a duration of 2 months, involving on-site rigging and operational oversight aboard the vessel.
