Line of Business Job Description:

The Project Manager is responsible for the Operational project deliverables of multiple strategic initiatives at one time spread across multiple lines of businesses (LOB’s).  The Project Manager may work directly with a Technology Delivery lead if the project is technology focused or independently if the project is process driven.   The Project Manager follows the Agile project methodology and adheres to the Global Change Standards as defined by the Bank.  The Project Manager identifies the key resources required for the project and ensures that their deliverables are completed to meet the timeline requirements. The Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of project scope as agreed upon with the LOB and documents the success metrics upon project completion.  The ETS Project Manager will work in conjunction with the Technology Delivery Lead to monitor and report out on the actual financial performance against the original forecast.  Project risks are continually identified and escalated to minimize risk exposure.  The candidate must be able to work independently, possess a strong process expertise, and demonstrate strategic thinking and tactical planning with a proven ability to turn complex ideas into well-structured processes.  The candidate must be able to develop concise and succinct presentations that will influence dialogue at all levels including the expertise in knowing the fine balance between detailed and high-level messages.  The role requires skillful communication abilities to ask the right questions, using tools and visual materials, to uncover root causes to business challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations.  Other responsibilities require the ability to develop strong partnerships and relationships including full coordination with business partners.

This job is responsible for managing cross-functional and/or inter-departmental projects for Line of Business products, processes, functions, and employee readiness. Key responsibilities of the job include partnering with the business to develop a plan to sustain change, evaluating current methods, and developing strategies to implement changes and project improvements. Job expectations include overseeing projects, using appropriate tools to drive project completion, and serving as a secondary point of contact to department managers for critical change initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the execution of defined project tasks through tracking of deliverables and their statuses, developing project plans, and measuring progress against ongoing key performance indicators
  • Leads project and/or remediation requirement documentation efforts based on identified gaps and controls needed for sustained performance
  • Plans and organizes projects using appropriate tools and techniques, including Technology platforms used by client facing employees, change management tools, and risk and issue management tools to ensure efficient and effective project completion
  • Navigates across various Lines of Business and partner organizations, including Technology and Risk, leading them to negotiate decision making for efficient and effective resolution
  • Supports the adoption and sustainment of change initiatives and helps assess adoption risks
  • Develops, maintains, and reports on an overall integrated delivery plan, raising any risks, developing a mitigation plan, and escalating issues appropriately to respective stakeholders

Line of Business Required Skills:

  • 3 or more years of all aspects of end-to-end project management experience including process improvement/re-engineering in the Agile project methodology for both process only and/or technology change efforts
  • Must be strongly proficient using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and in Visio
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills and ability to target messaging to different audiences
  • Experience with managing a large, complex group of stakeholders and ability to communicate effectively and influence decisions to achieve desired results
  • Strong decision-making skills with an assertive and proactive communication style
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and active listening skills
  • Must be proficient in data management to include strong data analytic capability
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks to meet extremely compressed deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, determined, and positive – especially under pressure
  • Ability to navigate enterprise, research, and resource information across the bank
  • Critical thinker and Risk minded

Line of Business Desired Skills:

  • Experience supporting and participating in technology change efforts in project manager role
  • Proficient in data management to include strong data analytic capability
  • Proficient in understanding technology and data management
  • 5+ years of project management experience with a complete understanding of the key principles and frameworks of Project Management and Process Development
  • Project Management Professional Certified
