Position Overview

At FBM, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you'll lead projects from quote acceptance through completion, working closely with sales, operations, customers, and vendors to ensure success every step of the way. Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Collaboration & Customer Interaction
  • Collaborate with outside sales, operations manager, and customers to undertand the project.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors for product informaiton, lead-times, and shipping details.
  • Purchase material for assigned jobs. Select vendors, negotiate best price for purchased material and have knowledge of vendor pricing.
  • Solve complex issues in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with operations for delivery of material to the job site.
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Document all aspects of any given project through sales orders, purchase orders, order acknowledgements, submittals, emails and/or other forms of correspondence.

 

  1. Safety     
  • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

 

  1. Physical Requirements
  • Take Sales calls and receive orders.
  • Create "take-offs" on doors, frames, and hardware.
  • Create machine sheets and other design specs for frame, door and hardware products as necessary.
  • Create submittals and transmit them to customers.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years with Wood Doors, Hollow Metal Frames and Commercial Door Hardware.
  • DHI certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of contract documents
  • Experience with large projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong reading comprehension
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge with Specworks, Comsense, Protech or similar industry related software preferred.
  • Current Knowledge on codes, products and design changes for doors, frames and finish hardware.

Compensation  

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
