Job Title: Project Manager - Mission Critical / Data Center

Location: San Antonio, TX - Austin, TX

About the Role:

Yates Construction is seeking a Project Manager to support the successful delivery of data center projects. This position plays a central role in managing all phases of construction, from preconstruction through turnover, with a strong presence in both office and field operations.

You will be responsible for driving schedule, budget, trade coordination, and client satisfaction on fast-paced, highly technical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day project operations including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and procurement.
• Collaborate closely with superintendents and field leadership to ensure execution aligns with project goals.
• Coordinate MEP systems, critical power infrastructure, and commissioning plans in tandem with vendors and consultants.
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships, communicating status, issues, and deliverables regularly.
• Track and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications.
• Support and enforce safety and quality standards across all project phases.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and reporting using construction management software.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in construction project management, with 3+ years focused on data centers or mission-critical projects.
• Strong working knowledge of MEP coordination, mission-critical infrastructure, and commissioning workflows.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, contracts, and project financials.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, P6, CMiC, Bluebeam).
• Bachelor�s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 and current First Aid/CPR certifications preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• Hyperscale or colocation data center projects
• Familiarity with Tier III/Tier IV design and operational standards
• Experience supporting integrated systems testing (IST) and turnover planning
