Join Redland City Council as a Project Manager - Design and lead the successful delivery of a wide variety of design projects within our Capital Works Program. From civil infrastructure and buildings to parks, marine and water assets, you’ll manage the planning, design, and contract administration of projects that directly contribute to our community’s long-term vision.

 

In this role, you’ll work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and design consultants to deliver high-quality concept plans, detailed designs, and technical documentation. You’ll drive project performance by managing risks, budgets, schedules, and contracts, while also ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and corporate standards.

What we're looking for:

 

  • Proven expertise in managing the designs of major and minor civil and municipal projects.
  • Extensive experience in civil engineering design, delivering accurate, durable, and cost-effective solutions for complex projects.
  • Strong leadership in managing consultants and project teams to successfully deliver civil design projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with contractors, clients, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Outstanding written skills for preparing high-quality reports and correspondence.
  • Advanced computer literacy in accessing information management systems and project control and scheduling software.

Eligibility

 

  • You'll hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, construction management or other position relevant discipline.
  • You'll have a five (5) + years' experience in contract / project management of civil/municipal infrastructure projects.
  • You'll hold a current 'C' class drivers' licence.
