Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Project Manager to lead their Electrical Interference Effects team within their Consulting group. As a Project Manager - Electrical Interference Effects YOU will:
· Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to deliver cutting-edge studies on electrical interferences across critical infrastructure - pipelines, railroads, substations, and transmission systems
· Oversee modeling and analysis for AC/DC interference, EMI/EMF, and grounding systems
· Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion
· Interface directly with clients to manage relationships, understand requirements, and ensure client satisfaction
· Review and approve technical studies and reports prepared by team members
· Shape the direction of consulting services through strategic input and technical expertise
· Represent the company at industry conferences and participate in business development efforts
· Conduct site visits and collaborate in person with clients and colleagues (up to 20% travel)
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
· Mentor and develop team members to build technical capabilities
YOU are the ideal Project Manager - Electrical Interference Effects candidate if you have:
· 6-10 years of relevant experience leading interference studies for oil and gas pipelines, electrical powerlines and substations, HVDC systems, railways, and other related infrastructure
· Proficiency with SES CDEGS software suite, specifically Hi-Freq and/or ROW modules (required)
· Electrical interference experience in oil and gas or electrical power sectors
· Strong communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and client relationships
· Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations
· Experience reviewing technical projects and ensuring quality deliverables
· Ability to travel up to 20% for site visits and client meetings
· Technical problem-solving skills for complex electrical interference challenges
It's a BONUS if you have:
· Field experience with soil resistivity testing, fall of potential measurements, and electrical grounding assessments
· Familiarity with industry standards and regulations including IEEE Std 80, 81, 2746, NACE/AMPP, CSA OCC-1-2013, and PHMSA 49, CFR 192 and 195
· SES Level 1 or NACE CP certification
· Professional licensure as a P.E.
· Experience presenting at industry conferences
· Business development or proposal writing experience
