Department Overview
The Group Quality Department supports the promotion of TQM/QMS across the entire company, including Rakuten Mobile, Inc.
The Quality Management Support Department is focusing on Rakuten Mobile, RTS, and Rakuten Symphony as of 2024, and is driving second-line quality activities.
We aim to guarantee the quality that all our customers can use Rakuten Mobile's services with confidence.
In the Product Quality Management Department, the team serves as the second line of defense, leading continuous company-wide Quality Management activities for Rakuten Mobile's products and programs. This includes managing the New Product Introduction Process and functioning as the PMO.

Job Overview
Will be responsible for the Network-related Project Management Office (PMO) within the New Product Introduction (NPI) framework. This role involves collaborating with the network division to execute processes, manage changes, and drive improvements, supporting the introduction of new products.
Detailed Responsibilities
1. New Product Introduction for Non-Customer Product (Network related product development) PMO
- Execute processes, manage changes, and drive improvements
- Conduct technical discussions with relevant departments
- Coordinate processes and acceptance criteria with the network division for each product
2. New Product Introduction for Customer Product PMO
- Verify network-related requirements
- Review and support the technical network checklist
English Usage Scenarios
- Business-level communication in English and Japanese
- Technical discussions and alignments
- Reporting project progress and managing risks
Work Environment
Team Composition
The team consists of members from various specialties, including project managers, engineers, and quality assurance specialists. Each member has specific roles and responsibilities, working together to drive projects forward.
The entire team consists of approximately 15 members. Depending on the project, typically 2 to 3 PMOs are assigned to each project.
Team Characteristics
The team is diverse, with members from various backgrounds and origins, fostering active exchange of different perspectives. Communication within the team is open, and there is a strong collaborative approach to problem-solving. Due to the flexible allocation of personnel based on project attributes, there are many cross-departmental projects.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
+Experience with any of the following;
- 3+ years of relevant project management experience in the IT industry
- Understanding of MNO overall architecture
Desired Qualifications:
- Project management experience in the telecommunications industry
- Planning skills and experience in meeting facilitation
