Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT) is seeking a Project Manager to support the growth and development of existing and new client relationships within New Mexico and the surrounding Southwest region. The Project Manager will manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary projects across energy sectors (e.g., renewable energy and oil & gas) and support public sector and water resources projects. The desired candidate will have proven experience in cultural resources management. This position requires technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead teams and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality results.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage multiple multi-disciplinary projects across environmental, cultural, and engineering disciplines
• Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of field and office teams to prepare quality and timely deliverables
• Apply expert knowledge of federal, state, and tribal regulations, including Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and applicable New Mexico state requirements, including those outlined in the New Mexico Administrative Code
• Oversee or collaborate on cultural resource investigations, including surveys, assessments, and agency consultation
• Support and contribute to proposal preparation and client communication
• Serve as a primary client point of contact, maintaining positive relationships and providing responsive, high-quality project delivery
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align project goals with ECT’s strategic growth and resource planning efforts
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level staff, supporting professional development and technical excellence
• Coordinate with technical specialists across ECT’s Natural Resources, Cultural Resources, and Engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
• Lead or participate in QA/QC reviews to promote accuracy and consistency across project documentation and deliverables
• Maintain strong working relationships with federal, state, tribal, and local agencies, representing ECT in a professional and technically competent manner
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field required
• 5–7 years of experience in environmental consulting, with emphasis on cultural resource management and permitting
• In-depth understanding of New Mexico cultural and environmental regulations, including federal and tribal compliance frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary project teams and complex project scopes
• Experience with energy infrastructure projects strongly desired
• Proven experience developing technical reports, agency submittals, and client communications
