Position summary
PREGTRIAL (Inclusion of PREgnant and lactatinG people in clinical TRIALs) is a CIHR-funded implementation science project that seeks to reduce barriers to inclusion for pregnant and lactating people in Canadian-led clinical trials. The project will entail conduct of an evidence review to determine the current state of the science, an environmental scan to assess inclusion of pregnant and lactating people in recent Canadian drug and biologic trials, a survey to assess investigator-related barriers and facilitators, and development of harmonized sections of protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and informed consent forms (ICFs) to facilitate the inclusion of pregnant and lactating individuals by trialists and their teams. As part of this project, we are seeking to hire a full-time Project Manager, who will be responsible for coordinating project activities with a diverse team of investigators, knowledge users and other collaborators, and patient partners. The Project Manager will work closely under the supervision of the PI, Dr. Natalie Dayan, to ensure that program activities are carried out successfully, that milestones are met efficiently, and that challenges that arise are managed appropriately. With administrative and operational oversight responsibilities, their expertise will be essential for this project's success.
In addition to the primary responsibility of overseeing PregTrial, the project manager will also assist Dr. Dayan with other related ongoing projects, including managing ethics renewal, graduate student administration, and assistance with funding applications.
General Duties
• Ensure the implementation and coordination of study activities to meet PREGTRIAL’s aims,
• Organize and participate in small- and large-group meetings with members of the project team,
• Engage with group members in between meetings to ensure tasks are being completed,
• Oversee data collection activities using Redcap, Survey Monkey, Covidence, and other platforms,
• Assist in the preparation of grants, scientific papers, and reports.
Education: Master's Degree
Field of Study: Project management, business administrations, or health sciences
Other education considered an asset for this position: Health policy, bioethics, and/or public health are an asset
Work Experience: 5 years

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Experience with coordinating teams, schedules and engaging large groups to develop consensus (i.e. Delphi process),
• Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
• Excellent English, spoken and written, competence in French,
• Some experience in data management / survey design, construction, and administration,
• Good organization and time management skills, and attention to detail,
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: $54,327.00 - $100,882.60. Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm
Work Site: Hybrid
