The Group Energy Efficiency expert team is at the forefront of this growth helping the different BUs to make good proposals and ensure the good operation of the corresponding projects.

Job Description

As part of the strengthening of the Energy Efficiency activity and its development in Europe and the rest of the country, GreenYellow is looking for a Refrigeration & HVAC Group expert based in Madrid (Spain). Under the responsibility of the Europe Energy Efficiency Director and collaborating with the other Energy Efficiency teams of the Greenyellow’s BUs, you will ensure the good quality of the Energy Efficiency and Thermal Energy Services proposals as well as the smooth running of GY's energy efficiency project in your perimeter.

Missions:

  • Share the group methodologies and processes with the Energy Efficiency Teams of the Group, in terms of simulation, engineering, procurement as well as construction and asset management for the projects which includes the system of your expertise.

  • Propose and build new processes where you see they are necessary to improve the quality and accuracy of our proposals and implementations of the projects which includes the system of your expertise.

  • Make sure regularly that the methodologies and processes are well used by the different Energy Efficiency Teams of the Group.

  • Check and validation of the engineering, CAPEX, OPEX and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership comparisons) accuracy of the important Energy Efficiency and Thermal Energy Services of the group proposals of your perimeter (up to 1 MEUR CAPEX).

  • For the most important projects (more than 1 MEUR CAPEX), support the local commercial and technical teams to reinforce the credibility of the offer thanks to your seniority and huge experience in your sector of expertise.

  • Support on site in big new installations of your perimeter to audit and inspect the quality of the work and help to ensure the correct COD and HSE standard respect.  

  • Position based in Madrid - Spain. Availability for travels to the other countries where GY is present.  

Main activities and tasks:

  • Teach how to carry out energy audits of systems of your expertise.

  • Teach how to carry out thermal demand simulation for systems of your expertise.

  • Validation and Recommendation for the best thermal equipment according to the demand of the client in system of your expertise.

  • Validation and Recommendation for Building Management System according to each system in order to optimize the energy savings obtained by electronic regulation.

  • Teach how to make technical and economical proposals of actions to be implemented and project design (budgets, ROI,) with uniformed tools.

  • Teach how to manage call of tenders for supplies and turnkey projects with systems of your expertise, including the use of standardized documents of Greenyellow specifications.  

  • Support the local EE Teams to close the contract with the clients and the suppliers, including technical appendix and contractual terms for Energy efficiency and availability guarantees in systems of your expertise.

  • Support for important projects the local EE Teams for Construction follow-up, carry out the works acceptance and punch list management.

  • Coaching and developing the local Energy Efficiency engineers and managers.

  • Meeting with clients and providers of your perimeter for important projects when the local team needs it (up to 1 MEUR CAPEX).

  • Asset Management standardized development and processes for the systems of your perimeter.

You will benefit from the support of your manager and of all the GY's local Energy Efficiency Teams: France, Iberia, Poland, Italy, Colombia, Brazil, South Africa, Vietnam and Thailand. You will be trained to GY methods and tools.

You will be able to rely on external and internal resources made available for the success of your missions.

Profile

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, Industrial Engineering o similar

  • At least 10 years of experience in HVAC and commercial and industrial Refrigeration (including freezing) with a full vision of the systems: engineering, installation, operation and maintenance.

  • Perfect knowledge of the F-Gas regulation.

  • Experience in building thermal simulation (open studio or equivalent, simulation for cold room demand) and distribution network design.

  • Experience in the use of Compressor selection software

  • O&M and Safety experience in energy HVAC & Refrigeration Systems, including Ammonia systems.

  • High technical knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and other knowledge of thermodynamics and associated equipment (refrigeration units, chillers, compressors, etc.)

  • Good Knowledge of the implementation and operation of Scada and control systems (BMS: Building Management Systems) dedicated to HVAC & Refrigeration systems.

  • Knowledge of the main manufacturers and assemblers of Industrial and commercial refrigeration (including freezing), air conditioning and heat pump systems. Direct contact with some of them will be a plus.

  • Experience in managing installation of thermal energy systems and distribution networks.  

  • Technical computer skills to make and understand thermal simulation software and analysis tools

  • Fluent in English (minimum B2 level). Spanish, French and other(s) European language (Germain, Italian, Portuguese, Polish) will be a plus.

  • Work in autonomy with proactive behavior to suggest improvement and technical solutions.

  • Strong interest in energy transition and decarbonization.
