Refrigeration Technician

The applicant will be responsible to install and troubleshoot Reefer refrigeration systems, as well as performing preventative maintenance. You must be able to work on mechanical and electrical components of these systems.

• Install New Reefer Refrigeration Systems.
• Diagnose problems and make repairs to existing equipment.
• Apply troubleshooting methods, replace parts and run tests to ensure the systems is working properly.
• Performing preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems.
• Following a checklist of parts and operations that need to be tested during a routine inspection of existing equipment, such as compressors, condensers, electrical connections and motor operations.
• Diagnosing malfunctions and defects in equipment.
• Reading blueprints and electrical and electronic schematics.
• Grasping electrical concepts.
• General Housekeeping.
• Any other ad-hoc duties which falls within the employee’s capabilities.

• Have passion for their work and can deliver quality results.
• Prepared to work shifts and including weekends.
• Must have experience of greater than 3 years
• A qualification will be advantageous.
• Problem solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to complete projects in time.
• Willing to work adhoc hours and weekends.
• Medically fit.
• Should have own reliable transport.
