About eiGroup

At eiGroup, we believe ideas can change industries - but only if they are nurtured with structure, science, and courage.

We’re an R&D and Innovation Venture Studio that transforms human ingenuity into technological value that scales.

Our ecosystem brings together researchers, engineers, and creators who turn complex challenges into scalable products - from subsurface imaging to AI-driven analytics, from remote sensing to digital transformation.

Our ventures are built in-house, born from research, and grown into independent companies.

Together, we’re shaping how innovation takes root in this region - and how it reaches the world.

What You’ll Do

Domain-Driven Technical Leadership

  • Lead the petroleum engineering input into the development of digital tools focused on production optimization, deferral management, anomaly detection, and workflow automation.
  • Periodically review well stock performance using in-house tools and generate validated opportunity lists and deferral cases.

Subsurface–Surface Integration

  • Connect reservoir, well, and production system insights to reduce noise and ensure realistic, feasible recommendations.
  • Provide holistic evaluations across subsurface, wellbore, and surface systems.

Well & System Modelling

  • Oversee or implement building, calibration, and validation of well and system models (natural flow, gas lift, ESP, and other artificial lift systems) in common software (IPM Suite, etc.)
  • Provide procedural assurance or contribute to the development of the process to ensure integrity of input data (well tests, PVT, constraints) and quality of model outputs.
  • Use model-derived insights to identify optimization opportunities and support forecasting and prediction workflows.

Production Engineering Expertise

  • Analyze performance of oil and gas producer wells, especially natural and gas-lifted wells.
  • Diagnose flow assurance challenges (wax, asphaltenes, slugging, hydrates, sand) and recommend short- and long-term mitigation strategies.
  • Guide the team on well performance indicators and opportunity identification frameworks.

Digital Product Co-Creation

  • Translate business pain points into clear technical requirements and actionable tasks for data science and development teams.
  • Scope solutions with clients, define acceptance criteria, and oversee domain implementation during development.
  • Ensure technical quality of delivered digital features and workflows.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with client production teams to validate opportunities, refine requirements, and ensure alignment.
  • Prepare clear technical reports, quick analyses, and presentations for both technical and managerial audiences.

Future Product Vision & Scaling

  • Contribute to the long-term roadmap for digital production engineering products and scalable platforms.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support management in expanding service lines and client relationships.

Team Contribution & Mentorship

  • Provide technical mentoring to junior petroleum/domain engineers within the team.
  • Support creation of best practices, guidelines, and domain standards for internal use.

Agile & Collaborative Delivery

  • Work within an agile environment—participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (data science, development, QA) in fast-moving project cycles.

Technical Tools & Digital Fluency

  • Prepare rapid technical reports, PowerPoints, and decision-support materials.
  • Ideally have exposure to databases, basic programming (Python, SQL), or digital engineering tools.
  • Maintain strong English communication and presentation capabilities.

What You Bring

Technical & Domain Expertise

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in production/reservoir engineering roles within oil & gas operating companies or service/digital solution providers.
  • Strong experience with oil and gas producer wells, including natural flow, gas lift, and basic familiarity with ESP and other artificial lift systems.
  • Hands-on experience with well and system modelling (e.g., Prosper, GAP, MBAL or equivalent tools), including model building, calibration, and validation.
  • Solid understanding of reservoir–well–surface system interactions and ability to integrate subsurface and surface data into optimization work.
  • Proven proficiency in diagnosing flow assurance issues (wax, asphaltenes, slugging, hydrates, etc.) and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Strong command of well performance indicators, opportunity identification techniques, and production optimization workflows.

Digital & Analytical Skills

  • Experience collaborating in digital development projects, particularly using domain knowledge to shape requirements and validate outputs.
  • Ability to break down complex engineering challenges into structured, actionable components for data science and software development teams.
  • Prior exposure to databases, dataflows, or basic programming/scripting (Python, SQL, MATLAB, or similar) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with data-driven tools, dashboards, or digital workflows is a plus.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Strong skills in capturing business pain points, defining technical scopes, and aligning requirements with client stakeholders.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) with strong professional communication skills.
  • Confident presenter able to prepare and deliver clear reports, slides, client materials, and technical justifications.

Leadership, Collaboration & Agility

  • Experience working in high-paced, agile development or multidisciplinary environments (sprints, iterative delivery, backlog grooming).
  • Ability to plan and manage short-, mid-, and long-term objectives in parallel.
  • Demonstrated capability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
  • Proactive, dynamic mindset with a drive to push projects, ideas, and teams forward.

Nice-to-Have

  • Previous experience in consultancy, digital product development, or technical project leadership within the petroleum engineering domain.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, production data systems, and integrated digital environments.
  • Experience supporting business development, proposal preparation, or identifying new value-creation opportunities.
