mîrus Consulting Group is a local company based in Humacao, Puerto Rico that provides computer system validation and information technology consulting services to pharmaceutical companies and other organizations across the Island and parts of the United States. Its services include the assessment and validation of automation equipment, network infrastructures and business processes, as well as the project management involved.

Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives within the manufacturing, engineering, and quality organizations to ensure successful execution of complex projects in a regulated environment. The individual will manage project scope, schedule, cost, and quality while ensuring compliance with company procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements. This role requires strategic planning, leadership, and effective communication across departments and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, validation, procurement, and quality teams to deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Manage project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address potential roadblocks.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to change control, documentation, and validation standards.
  • Manage sourcing and contracting processes in coordination with Procurement and Finance through systems such as Ariba and SAP.
  • Prepare project reports, metrics, and presentations to track progress and support decision-making.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and project management best practices.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Sciences (Chemistry or Biology preferred) or Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Biotech preferred).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in project management within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications / Key Attributes:
  • Skilled in handling multiple responsibilities, priorities, and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in project management software, spreadsheets, and computer tools.
  • Effective in a team or matrix environment with solid collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic thinker, self-starter, and team player — persistent, tactful, and persuasive.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Exceptional communication skills for technical writing and presentations.
  • Capable of assuming increased responsibility and leadership over time.
  • Experience with Ariba Sourcing & Contracting Modules, SAP, Trackwise, and project management tools preferred.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Change Control processes in regulated environments.
