The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to join our young, dynamic Project Management Delivery: Buildings / Vertical team in Wellington. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects, clients, and people, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction. You will also actively contribute to the leadership and development of our teams, providing clear direction and fostering a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project teams, ensuring the delivery of projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members, promoting professional growth and development.
- Actively engage with clients, understanding their needs and objectives, and maintaining strong relationships.
- Prepare and present technical papers at industry events, showcasing Frequency's expertise.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety obligations and company policies.
- Develop and implement project management plans aligned with clients' requirements.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including client meetings, preparing proposals and tenders.
About You:
- 10 to 15 years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record in managing infrastructure projects valued at $40 million-plus.
- Holds relevant tertiary industry qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in roles such as design management, team management, or team director, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
- Consultancy and Client-side Project Management experience is desirable.
- Experience in Vertical Build and Seismic projects is desirable.
- Experience in Line Management of Internal Delivery Teams
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong emphasis on effective communication and emotional intelligence (EQ).
- Strong industry presence and a robust professional network, particularly in the Wellington region.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in managing project financials and performance.
