Introduction

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Shift Supervisor Raise Drilling, to be based at Dishaba Mine near Northam, Limpopo. The successful candidate, will report to Project Manager Raise Drilling.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·             Manage the company front desk and switchboard to standard

·             Effective planning, organising, control and team supervision to achieve production targets

·             Instil a safety culture and coordinate raise drilling safety activities

·             Conduct legal inspections in line with legal appointment

·             Coordinate raise drilling activities, logistical activities and resources through effective planning, scheduling and communications

·             Effective stakeholder engagement at all levels internally and externally

·             Achieve monthly targets in terms of production and safety

·             Effectively complete administration tasks and reporting

·           Proactive risk identification and mitigation in alignment with legal regulations, the client's and M&RC's standards, procedures and policies

Desired Experience & Qualification

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·                  Minimum 3 years of experience as a Receptionist

·                  Minimum 5 years of experience in raise drilling operations in a supervisory capacity

·                  Experience working in an underground mining environment

·                  Knowledge of all types of Raise Drilling operations

·                  Knowledge of compiling risk assessments and safe working procedures
