Solar Installation Trainer – B2B & Field Operations
Job Description
Responsible for leading our B2B solar installation and product training program and delivering high-quality,
hands-on training sessions to professional installers, dealer partners, and B2B clients across various locations.
Play a key role in equipping industry professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to install solar energy
systems safely, efficiently, and effectively, while promoting product adoption and customer satisfaction.
A successful candidate must be able to:
● Facilitate in-person training sessions, workshops, and hands-on exercises at client locations, trade shows,
and training centers to teach solar installation principles and techniques, including site assessment, system
design, commissioning, troubleshooting, product integration, and safety protocols.
● Deliver tailored product training to installers and B2B clients, ensuring proper installation, use, and
understanding of solar energy products.
● Create thorough and accurate instructional materials and guides, with occasional support for video content
development.
● Ensure all training equipment and materials are maintained, transported, and set up effectively to support
successful training outcomes.
● Emphasize and enforce safety protocols throughout all training programs, prioritizing participant safety and
regulatory compliance.
● Provide post-training support, guidance, and technical assistance to installer teams and business clients to
ensure successful implementation.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, installer networks, and B2B stakeholders to
promote the training program and enhance product adoption.
● Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in solar energy and
training methodologies.
● Travel up to 75% of the time to deliver training sessions, including overnight and occasional international
travel.
● All other duties as assigned.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
● A deep understanding and knowledge of electrical concepts, solar energy components, systems, products,
implementation/installation, and applicable regulations.
● Hands-on experience with solar installation equipment and tools, with a commitment to safety and industry
best practices.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical
concepts to professional B2B audiences.
● Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training events,
schedules, and logistical demands.
● Ability to build relationships with B2B clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to support the growth of the
training program and enhance customer engagement.
Qualifications:
● NABCEP PV Associate Credential Required - NABCEP Board Certification in System Inspection or
Installation Preferred.
● Previous experience in solar energy installation or related fields, with a strong understanding of solar energy
systems and installation techniques.
● Proven experience in delivering technical training in a B2B or vocational setting, with a focus on installer
education and program management.
● Valid driver’s license and ability to transport and set up training equipment and materials.
Physical Requirements:
● This position requires the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, lifting 100+ lbs, bending,
stooping, working with live electricity, climbing on roofs, navigating high distances, and other physical activities.
Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
● This role includes frequent travel, often on short notice, with associated physical and logistical demands.
