California premier solar energy solutions systems provider is seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team at Solace Enterprises! The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in solar racking, DC and AC electrical work, rooftop solar layout and installation experience, and experience installing/commissioning battery systems. This role requires a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the ability to read plans effectively. The Commercial Solar Installer will work on various construction sites across the CA and NV commercial/industrial environments.
Duties
- Be safe-minded and ensure all project installs meet industry best practices.
- Read and interpret plans/permit sets to determine the layout of solar electrical and battery systems.
- Ensure all installations comply with NEC standards and local regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Electrician Trainee Card or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience as a Commercial Installer with a strong understanding of solar electrical systems/inverters/batteries.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Familiarity with NEC standards and safety regulations.
- OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
- CPR certified preferred.
- Experience with low voltage systems is preferred but not required.
- Commissiong systems, testing procedures, and closeout docs.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
