Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a Sr. Project Manager, Transportation to join our Transportation Group in the Greater Toronto Area. This role follows a hybrid work model.

What you’ll be challenged to do:

As a Sr. Project Manager, Transportation for provincial, municipal, transit and aviation clients while also providing effective and efficient management of day-to-day operations within the transportation team, while also providing effective and efficient management of day-to-day operations within the transportation team.

 

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

• Maintain a close working relationship with all discipline leads, department heads, other project managers, project controls staff, and construction personnel.
• Maintain a high level of technical quality on the projects.
• Mentor project staff and participate in the hiring process.
• Serve as a functional manager for an engineering team, responsible for career development and performance reviews.

What you will bring to our firm:

• 12 years of experience.
• P.Eng. designation required.
• A university degree in civil engineering or related degree.
• Familiarity with roadway design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Inroads, ORD).
• Technical excellence in civil & highway design.
• Familiarity with contract documents. 
• Demonstrated experience in successful project execution. 
• A thorough understanding of the requirements and complexities of the design and management of multi-disciplinary projects, such as utility coordination, construction staging, traffic management, public consultation, external agency approvals, communication and liaison, coordination of sub-consultants and design groups, schedule and budget control, quality control, construction administration and claims resolution.

 

What we prefer you bring:

• Experience in delivery of Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) projects is an asset.
• Experience in BRT, LRT including intermodal transit facilities is an asset.
• Familiarity and experience with various delivery models and P3 projects is an asset.

Compensation:


The range for this position is salary dependent upon experience and geographic location.
