The Uinta Sr. Reservoir Engineer will be a member of the Uinta Basin development team located in Denver, CO. The Uinta Sr. Reservoir Engineer will assume a key role to optimize the development plans of the newly acquired Utah asset. The engineer will strive for continual improvement for the asset by providing detailed technical analysis, economic analysis and recommendations on development projects. This position operates under limited review while handling assignments of a broad scope and moderate difficulty.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
General Knowledge and Skills
Strong reservoir engineering background. Is familiar with the basics of other specialties and/or disciplines. Takes initiative to maintain and increase technical knowledge through practical application and knowledge transfer. Understands important geological, petrophysical and geochemical properties for unconventional plays. Working knowledge of different completion types, designs and fluid systems. Proficient and strong ability to learn and apply new skills and technologies. Proficient and strong use and application of standard engineering principles and techniques including industry and company standards in assigned discipline.
Computer/Software Applications
Proficient and strong level of skill in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Effectively utilize Spotfire to increase analytical speed and efficiency. Proficient and strong knowledge of Aries or other economic evaluation software programs in addition to analytical models in RTA.
Role-Specific Technical Knowledge & Skills
Experience with development of a variety of unconventional resource plays. Command of fundamental reservoir engineering disciplines including decline curve analysis (DCA), rate transient analysis (RTA), volumetrics, recoveries, fluid behavior, simple analytical history matching, and flow regime identification. Proficient and strong understanding of Pressure-Temperatures phase diagrams for practical purposes.
Proficient and strong understanding of probabilistic and deterministic methods. Can easily identify limitations in data set and range in certainty of results. Proficient and strong understanding principles of flow in porous media including capillary pressure, Darcy's law, and relative permeability. Familiar with core analysis and petro-physical evaluations. Proficient and strong knowledge / experience relating to relating to geochemistry, operations, geological interpretation, well data integration, petrophysics and seismic attributes.

B.S. degree in Engineering is required
