Role Overview

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of enterprise-level IT initiatives by bridging business needs with technical execution. This role combines strong agile project delivery, scrum facilitation, technical analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.

You will lead cross-functional teams to build and enhance cloud-based solutions, including producer portals, regulatory data pipelines, and back-office systems like Salesforce and Workday. You will also apply strong analytical skills to translate complex regulatory and operational needs into user stories, workflows, and system requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agile & Technical Project Management
    1. Serve as Scrum Master for one or more teams; facilitate sprint ceremonies and promote agile best practices.
    2. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, delivery roadmaps, release schedules, and stakeholder updates.
    3. Coordinate across engineering, QA, product, and business teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
    4. Proactively manage scope, risks, dependencies, and change control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technical & Business Analysis
    1. Analyze and document functional and non-functional requirements, system interactions, and data flows.
    2. Lead business process mapping and gap analysis to support solution design.
    3. Draft detailed specifications, including process flows, data mapping documents, and integration requirements.
    4. Perform technical assessments, feasibility analysis, and impact analysis for new feature requests or regulatory changes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    1. Work closely with Product Owners, SMEs, and business users across teams (e.g., Finance, State Programs, Producer Services) to gather requirements and confirm technical feasibility.
    2. Build consensus across stakeholders and secure approval for requirements, priorities, and deliverables.
    3. Manage stakeholder communications and status reporting across multiple time zones and workstreams.
  • Tool & Platform Expertise
    1. Use Jira and Confluence to manage backlogs, track sprint progress, and document technical artifacts.
    2. Collaborate with architects and developers to validate system design and ensure alignment with CAA’s technical ecosystem (Salesforce, Workday, Snowflake, Azure, custom portals).
    3. Support UAT and production rollout by preparing test cases, validating functionality, and coordinating deployment activities 
  • Other Responsibilities
    1. Provide support for incident triage and root cause analysis where applicable.
    2. Actively contributes to continuous improvement of processes, templates, and tool usage across the IT PMO.
    3. Coach team members in agile and technical documentation practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong command of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and modern SDLC practices.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise IT systems, APIs, cloud platforms, and data integrations.
  • Excellent business and technical writing skills, including the ability to draft user stories, test cases, and diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, MS Project, Excel, and SQL (basic).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management or business/technical analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator.
  • Experience working with Salesforce, Workday, or data integration tools is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake) a plus.
  • Agile certification (PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or SAFe) is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Other Information

  • Location: Fully Remote
  • Compensation: based on a variety of factors in accordance with applicable law, including the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance, retirement, and paid time off.
