What Our Client Needs

A Technical Project Manager to lead Agile delivery across complex engineering initiatives. This role ensures predictable execution, clear visibility, and high-quality outcomes across backend, frontend, and platform teams.


Who You Are

You are a disciplined delivery leader with strong technical fluency. You bring structure to complexity, communicate clearly with engineers and executives, and take full ownership of outcomes. You are proactive, data-driven, and comfortable operating autonomously.


What You’ll Do

  • Own Agile delivery and sprint execution across multiple engineering teams
  • Plan and facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Partner with product and engineering leads to define priorities, goals, and acceptance criteria
  • Track and analyze delivery metrics such as velocity, capacity, burndown, and predictability
  • Lead delivery of complex, multi-quarter cloud-native initiatives
  • Translate product and architectural requirements into delivery plans and timelines
  • Manage dependencies across backend, frontend, QA, infrastructure, and security teams
  • Coordinate release planning, environment readiness, and production rollouts
  • Ensure CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness are built into delivery plans
  • Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and regulatory risks
  • Enforce definition of done, quality gates, and compliance checkpoints
  • Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Provide clear delivery updates, risks, and trade-offs to engineering leadership
  • Maintain delivery dashboards, summaries, and decision logs
  • Drive continuous improvement in Agile delivery practices
  • Mentor other delivery leads as the organization scales


Travel and supervisory responsibilities:

This role includes cross-team coordination and may involve limited travel. People leadership responsibilities may expand as the delivery organization grows.


What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years as a Technical Project Manager or Engineering Program Manager
  • Experience leading Agile delivery for backend, frontend, and platform teams
  • Strong technical fluency with Java-based systems, microservices, and APIs
  • Experience with AWS-native services, containerized environments, and CI/CD
  • Proven success managing large, cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and risk management skills
  • Clear communication skills with engineers, product leaders, and executives
  • Experience in regulated or high-compliance environments preferred
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, observability tooling, and release coordination preferred
  • Agile or Scrum certification preferred
