An established FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) Manufacturing Supply Chain company in Ladysmith is seeking to employ qualified, trade-tested, and experienced Electricians, Fitters, and Millwrights to join their dynamic team. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of their 24/7/365 operations.

Electricians:

• Perform scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems in a high-demand FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Diagnose and repair faults on electrical equipment, including motors, conveyors, and control systems.
• Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and electrical standards.

Fitters:

• Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems and machinery, including pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs to mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and repair breakdowns to ensure minimal production interruptions.
• Perform machine changeovers and assist with machinery upgrades when necessary.

Millwrights:

• Maintain and repair both mechanical and electrical systems within the FMCG manufacturing plant.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair breakdowns on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure that all machinery is operating at peak efficiency.
• Liaise with production teams to resolve maintenance-related issues and minimize production downtime.

Trade-Tested Certification: Qualified as an Electrician, Fitter, or Millwright.

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, FMCG production and supply chain environment.

Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of FMCG or high-speed manufacturing equipment, safety standards, and processes.

Technical Skills:

• Electricians: Proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems (e.g., PLCs, motor control centers).
• Fitters: Skilled in mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery.
• Millwrights: Competent in both mechanical and electrical fault-finding and repairs.

Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to address breakdowns swiftly.

Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with shifting priorities.

Health & Safety: Knowledge and adherence to health, safety, and quality compliance.

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-output environment.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mentality.
• Valid driver’s license (advantageous).
