Wind Turbine Technician (Electrical)

This role is to provide preventative and corrective maintenance to all infrastructure associated with a generating wind farm including wind turbines, We’re on the lookout for a hands-on A-Grade Electrician to join our tight-knit team at the Waubra Wind Farm (just 35 km north-west of Ballarat). You’ll be working across 128 turbines that generate up to 192 MW of clean, renewable energy—keeping them running safely and efficiently.

• Servicing & Maintenance – Routine and emergency maintenance on wind turbines, HV systems, and site infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs – Fault finding and fixing issues to reduce downtime.
• Safety First – Follow all safety procedures and help build a strong safety culture.
• Teamwork – Work closely with your crew and contribute to continuous improvement.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM, with a 9-day fortnight schedule. You will be part of an on-call roster once every four weeks (during 7 am – 10 pm unless its an emergency).  

• Hold a valid trade Electrical Trade Certificate and A-Grade Electrical License
• Experience in heavy industry (power, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, etc.)
• Enjoy working closely with a mechanical trade partner, supporting each other to get the job done safely and efficiently
• Demonstrate basic computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
• Maintain a current driver's license for manual vehicle.
• In compliance with Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018, this role is defined as critical worker and labelled at ACCIONA Energia as a Privileged Access Worker (PAW).
• Privileged Access Workers (PAW's) are required to obtain satisfactory results from Acciona's Suitability Assessment prior to commencement, this forms part of our standard pre-employment checks.
