The Role

Responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and safety of all mud pump equipment on the drilling rig. This role ensures that the mud pumps are functioning efficiently and reliably to support continuous drilling operations, minimizing downtime and optimizing mud circulation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all mud pump equipment on the rig.
• Coordinate with drilling and maintenance teams to ensure mud pumps operate within specified parameters.
• Monitor pump performance, pressure, and flow rates to optimize drilling fluid circulation.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to avoid equipment failure.
• Manage and lead rig crew members assigned to mud pump maintenance and operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational procedures, and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Report equipment status, issues, and operational challenges to the Rig Manager.
• Assist in the procurement of spare parts and tools necessary for mud pump upkeep.
• Provide technical guidance and training to rig personnel on mud pump operation and safety practices.
• Participate in incident investigations related to mud pump equipment and implement corrective actions.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in mud pump operations and maintenance on drilling rigs.
• Strong understanding of drilling fluid circulation systems and associated equipment.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations and rig safety protocols.
• ADS10T Model experience is a must
