Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Drilling Performance Expert to support ongoing offshore drilling operations. The role focuses on improving drilling efficiency, optimizing operational performance, and delivering measurable improvements across execution, workflow, and rig performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse drilling KPIs to identify areas for efficiency gains.

• Develop and implement performance improvement strategies across the drilling cycle.

• Collaborate with drilling, subsurface, and operations teams to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

• Lead performance reviews, daily/weekly performance meetings, and after-action learning sessions.

• Deliver data-driven recommendations to reduce non-productive time (NPT) and invisible lost time (ILT).

• Monitor and benchmark operational performance against targets and industry best practice.

• Provide coaching and guidance to rig site and onshore teams.

• Prepare detailed performance reports for internal and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in drilling performance, drilling engineering, or well operations.

• Strong understanding of offshore drilling activities, rig systems, and operational workflows.

• Track record of delivering performance improvements in complex drilling environments.

• Proficiency with drilling performance tools, KPIs, and reporting software.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Offshore certification and valid medical (where applicable).
