Drilling Process Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Drilling Process Engineer  for one of our clients in Athens, Greece!

Applicants must be residing in Greece as this job doesn't provide a relocation package!

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the operations of offshore hydrocarbon exploration and production facilities and checking their compliance with Law 4409/2016

• Evaluation of documents Law 4409/2016 submitted by the Administrators / Owners of above facilities

• Monitoring drilling and/or production operations performed in an offshore environment

• Writing evaluation and inspection reports

• Organizing a program of inspections of offshore hydrocarbon exploration and production facilities and participating in them as drilling experts

• Examination of confidential reports related to offshore security issues submitted to the Competent Authority

• Investigation of incidents falling under Law 4409/2016

• Preparation of plans of the Competent Authority

• Representation of the Competent Authority to the supervisory bodies of the European Union

• Facility certification monitoring

• Evaluations of daily offshore drilling reports

• Selection of external consultants for inspections where required

• Point of contact for ongoing field inspections

• Maintaining a record of interactions between the Competent Authority – Administrators / Owners of M.P.Eg.

• Contribution to the issuance of technical guidance documents of the Competent Authority

• Undertaking other projects that may be assigned by the Regulatory Director of the Competent Authority for the purposes of carrying out its work Standard

Requirements

• Higher engineering education (PhD / MSc)

• Proven experience in project management

• Knowledge of process safety issues in the industry

• Minimum work experience: 15 years

• Proven minimum of 5 years field work experience in the industry

• Experience in industrial inspections

• Knowledge of the regulatory framework of offshore security in the European Union desirable (Law 4409/2016, directive 2013/30/EU)

• Excellent and proven knowledge of the English language

• Good presentation and communication skills
