Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver to join our dedicated team. This role involves local work only, ensuring you can stay close to home and building on your driving skillset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily multi-pickups & deliveries of pallets, cartons & other freight items, ensuring timely drop-offs at depots for various clients.
  • Operate heavy rigid vehicle in a safe & organised manner, adhering to all road safety regulations.
  • Correctly & accurately deliver consignments, ensuring no damage or loss occurs.
  • Complete assigned jobs within the time allocated, with a primary focus on daily delivery & collection schedules.
  • Ability to manage & prioritise jobs in a dynamic, adhoc booking system where delivery needs can change unexpectedly.
  • Flexibility to adjust routes & schedules to accommodate priority jobs that arise.
  • Strict adherence to all safety procedures & policies.

Requirements:

  • Valid Heavy Rigid Driver’s Licence (WA).
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience operating a Heavy Rigid truck.
  • Competency in Load Restraint.
  • High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (desirable).
  • Familiarity with the Perth metro area.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for performing minor vehicle maintenance (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently & adapt to changing conditions.
  • Full Australian Work Rights.
  • National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months from start date)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including medical, drug & alcohol screening, and driving assessment.
