Job Summary

The Project Director – Solar Power will oversee the coordination and execution of utility-scale solar energy projects. This role involves supervising construction progress, coordinating field teams, managing subcontractors, and supporting overall project delivery. While not responsible for project financing or high-level engineering, this associate-level position plays a key role in keeping the project on track, safe, and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily activities of solar construction projects and communicate with site managers
  • Track progress against project schedules and report updates to senior leadership
  • Manage subcontractor workflows and verify installation quality and productivity
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental policies, and site-specific procedures
  • Participate in project planning meetings, logistics coordination, and materials tracking
  • Support issue resolution, punch list management, and closeout documentation
  • Maintain project documentation, including reports, photos, and site records
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in solar construction or infrastructure projects
  • Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Knowledge of solar PV installation practices, site logistics, and subcontractor management
  • Strong organizational and field coordination skills
  • Experience with field project reporting and basic scheduling tools (Excel, Procore, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and remote project sites
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites

Preferred Certifications

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • NABCEP (Associate or Installer-level) a plus
  • First Aid/CPR
