About The Job:
 

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for a Project Manager to join their team. Our client, is renowned for their excellence in service and craftsmanship, having been awarded Remodeler of the Year by Housing First Minnesota. They have been handcrafting clients' visions since 1976 and are known for their sustainable and healthy home building design and construction in luxury, custom residential home building and remodels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership:
    • Understand, endorse, and support the Mission and Values of company.
    • Implement company policies and procedures while providing training and guidance to team members.
    • Develop, gain approval for, and manage project goals, objectives, and budgets.
    • Demonstrate leadership by setting high standards, holding team members accountable, and maintaining integrity in all operations.
    • Attend Project Download and Pre-Construction Meetings to ensure proper planning and execution.
    • Schedule and oversee project production from initiation to completion.
    • Assign tasks and direct the efforts of project personnel and subcontractors.
  • Client Communication:
    • Keep homeowners informed of project status through phone calls, memos, and meetings.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for project updates, ensuring a positive client experience.
    • Keep the General Production Manager updated on project progress and any related issues.
  • Project Execution & Quality Control:
    • Review blueprints and specifications, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
    • Assist in the development of project estimates and budgets.
    • Manage and process change orders, ensuring client approval and documentation.
    • Oversee subcontractor work, inspect for quality control, and coordinate corrections as needed.
    • Conduct job site visits to assess progress, compliance, and safety.
  • Administrative & Operational Duties:
    • Ensure all closing information is transferred to the Customer Service department.
    • Attend project closings and final walkthroughs.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose solutions to management.
    • Promote company through professional representation and client interactions.
    • Function as a team player, offering support and guidance to colleagues.
    • Continuously seek ways to enhance job performance and professional development.
  • Additional Expectations:
    • Maintain an organized, detail-oriented approach to all projects.
    • Perform related duties as needed, willingly and proactively.

Required Skills:
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in remodeling project management or a related field.
  • Education: Degree in construction management, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with blueprints, construction best practices, and scheduling software.
  • Certifications: [Include any relevant certifications, such as PMP or OSHA safety training.
