The Opportunity:

We are looking for a driven Project Manager to join our high-performing Infrastructure team at Frequency. Based in Auckland, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a broad range of impactful infrastructure projects across New Zealand. Whether your background is in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, this is your chance to work with top-tier clients and play a key role in delivering projects that shape communities.

At Frequency, our Infrastructure Service Line is focused on delivering high-value projects across sectors such as transportation, water, utilities, and civic infrastructure. If you thrive on variety and enjoy working closely with clients to achieve meaningful outcomes, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful delivery of infrastructure projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their objectives, provide ongoing updates, and build trusted relationships.
  • Apply your multidisciplinary expertise to oversee design, procurement, delivery, and close-out phases, ensuring best practice project governance.
  • Uphold Health & Safety standards, promoting a culture of proactive risk management across all stages of project delivery.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to internal and client-facing project reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

About You:

  • 4+ years of experience in project management or infrastructure delivery, ideally within a consultancy or client-side environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or related disciplines) or a solid construction background with proven project leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure projects across sectors such as transportation, water, utilities, or civic works.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Solid understanding of project planning, financial management, contract administration, and risk control.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach, capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering to high standards.
  • A developing leader that is not afraid to take on responsibility and be accountable for outcomes.
