    Primary Purpose:
    The Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Project Manager is dedicated to advancing the vision and strategic direction of scholar-facing Social and Emotional Learning initiatives within Uplift Education's Education, Innovation, and Research (EIR) schools. This pivotal position involves orchestrating the implementation of high-quality SEL instruction in classrooms through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, and providing constructive feedback to teachers and campus administrators. Additionally, the SEL Project Manager plays a crucial role in fostering professional development and collaboration among educators, ensuring the successful integration of SEL strategies in EIR classrooms. With a keen emphasis on data-driven decision-making, the SEL Project Manager oversees the meticulous collection and analysis of data related to the implementation of SEL strategies. This includes working collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and relevant stakeholders to gather, assess, and report accurate and thorough data. By harnessing insights from data, the SEL Project Manager contributes to the continuous enhancement of SEL initiatives, tailoring support to meet the individual goals and needs of teachers, campuses, and the network. Furthermore, the SEL Project Manager will collaborate closely with the EIR Program Clinicians, who provide mental health services to scholars in the EIR study. Regular meetings between Program Clinicians and Project Managers will focus on integrating SEL into counseling work with scholars. Additionally, efforts will be made to incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques into teacher feedback provided by SEL Project Managers, ensuring a holistic approach to supporting scholar well-being and fostering a seamless integration of SEL practices across various facets of the education environment. The role will report to the Clinical Program Manager of Counseling and Prevention Services, who oversees both the counseling and SEL portions of the EIR program, ensuring alignment and cohesion between these critical components.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Strategic Vision Implementation: Guide the advancement of the strategic direction of scholar-facing Social and Emotional Learning initiatives within Uplift Education's EIR schools.
    • Instructional Leadership: Orchestrate the implementation of high-quality SEL instruction through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, and providing constructive feedback to teachers and campus administrators.
    • Feedback Loops Implementation: Implement feedback loops with teachers and CMO stakeholders to enhance communication, gather insights, and continuously improve SEL initiatives.
    • Scope and Sequence Development: In partnership with SEL Project Manager counterparts and the Clinical Program Manager, develop the scope and sequence of SEL curriculum for EIR schools to align with the vision and goals of the program.
    • Data Management and Analysis: Oversee the meticulous collection and analysis of data related to the implementation of SEL strategies, collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to gather, assess, and report accurate and thorough data.
    • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Emphasize data-driven decision-making to enhance SEL initiatives, contributing insights to tailor support for individual goals and needs of teachers, campuses, and the network.
    • Collaboration with Program Clinicians: Collaborate closely with EIR Program Clinicians, facilitating regular meetings to integrate SEL into counseling work with scholars and ensuring alignment between SEL and mental health services.
    • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Integration: Incorporate DBT techniques into teacher feedback, promoting a holistic approach to supporting scholar well-being and seamless integration of SEL practices across the education environment.
    • Continuous Enhancement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of SEL initiatives by harnessing insights from data, adjusting strategies, and addressing emerging needs.
    • Reporting and Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and relevant stakeholders by providing comprehensive and accurate reports on SEL implementation and its impact.
    • Project Facilitation: Facilitate EIR specific projects as determined by Uplift Leadership, showcasing adept organizational and leadership skills to ensure successful project outcomes.
    • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with peers, teachers, non-instructional staff, and administrators, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
    • Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with all network and campus routines, board policies, and federal and state laws, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining a legal and ethical work environment.
    • Professional Demeanor and Independence: Demonstrate and model a professional demeanor, resourcefulness, and effective communication strategies with diverse groups. Work independently without day-to-day supervision, showcasing a strong sense of initiative and reliability in the workplace.

    Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
    • Education: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Counseling, or a closely related field OR a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in K-12 education.
    • Preferred experience: Minimum of five (5) plus years of demonstrated experience in K-12 educational setting with a focus on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) initiatives. Proven leadership abilities in program development and implementation, coupled with effective utilization of data for the development and evaluation of Social-Emotional Learning programs. Additionally, hands-on experience in classroom teaching, implementing SEL strategies, and a background in coaching educators to promote holistic scholar well-being is essential.
     
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and confidently communicate with teachers, campus administrators, and all levels of leadership in a variety of settings including telephone calls, emails, and large and small meetings.
    • Bilingual Skills: Preferred but not required.
    • Technology: Competence with Microsoft Office application and ability to learn and use computer software as necessary. Ability to use basic office equipment.

    Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
    • Physical Demands: The employee must be able to maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours may be necessary. The employee may need to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. 
    • Work Environment: This position requires travel to and from campuses. During campus visits, there may be activity from other employees and scholars of a distracting nature. Out-of-town and overnight travel may be required to attend training conferences and professional development. 

    Starting Salary: $65,000
