Test Analyst-PlayWright Automation experience

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Test Analyst with strong expertise in UI functional testing and Playwright automation to lead testing efforts for a complex web application. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in test strategy, planning, execution, and automation within a financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Testing Process

• Define and implement test strategies for UI functional testing
• Adherence to quality standards
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage

Automation & Tools

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
• Ensure scalability and maintainability of automation frameworks

Functional Testing

• Perform detailed UI functional testing for web applications
• Validate user workflows, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools (e.g., JIRA)

Reporting & Governance

• Provide regular status updates and test metrics to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with testing standards and regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation
• API testing along with automation
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for automation scripting
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps)

Testing Skills

• Solid understanding of functional testing principles and best practices
• Experience in test management tools (JIRA Xray)
• Knowledge of API testing and integration testing is a plus

Domain Knowledge

• Exposure to banking applications or financial services domain
• Familiarity with compliance requirements is advantageous

Nice to Have

• Experience with performance testing tools
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments
• Certification/Knowledge of AWS
• ISTQB or similar certification

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
